Part 6 of APAC’s series of digital preservation guidance, produced by the association’s Digital Preservation Working Group, focuses on access requirements specific to performing arts, including:

  • understanding the audiences of digital content and how they access digital resources
  • alternative file formats for user accessibility
  • the impact of metadata on accessibility
  • front-end digital preservation solutions
  • access rights considerations
  • content warnings and age guidance
  • improving Accessibility to digital content
  • links to further useful resources

Three accompanying case studies look at user access to digital assets from the perspective of the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, and University of the Arts London.
