This regular online Members’ Meeting will include presentations from APAC members about various projects.

Theatre history (Karin Thomson)

Karin will present on a proposed film project looking at theatre history and the importance of archives in telling that story, and how APAC members can get involved.

Educational outreach (Chris Hilton and Joe Carr, Britten Pears Arts)

The Red House in Aldeburgh brings together the historic home of composer Benjamin Britten and his partner Peter Pears, with their rich archive. Chris and Joe will describe how they took the existing programme of educational outreach and worked in collaboration with local special schools to make it available to young people with learning disabilities.

Reclaiming black presence in history (Victoria Lane, Underexposed Arts)

Underexposed Arts is a registered charity celebrating black British talent and promoting aspiration through national arts-led activities. Victoria, Underexposed Arts archive researcher, will discuss the pilot for their latest project Soliqui. This aims to reclaim black presence in history through filmed monologues, which challenge black representation in ‘The British Period Drama’.
