APAC 2024 Conference – Sustainability
APAC is hosting their annual conference on 28 November 2024. We will host it online via Zoom.
This year, we’re exploring the theme of sustainability in the Performing Arts collections.
In this virtual conference, we will discuss the ever-changing dilemmas and approaches archivists, collectors, institutions, and practitioners may take to acknowledge climate change and how their work and objectives may alter to reflect sustainable practices.
We are looking at various topics.
- How your organisation is addressing sustainability in the workplace, such as carbon literacy training.
- Addressing audience concerns and equipping the public with knowledge
- Alternative approaches to collecting and preserving
- Research links between performance and eco-theory
- Case studies and projects on environmental sustainability and performance
We are looking for presentations around 20 minutes in length. If interested, please submit a short summary of your topic to ‘info@performingartscollections.org.uk’ with the subject line ‘APAC Symposium 2024’
Deadline for submissions: 19 October 5 pm. APAC board will review submissions and get back in contact with you shortly after.
Please share this to anyone you know who might also be interested in presenting their work.
More information on the schedule and tickets will be circulated soon, with the event free for APAC Members and a small fee for non-members.
