Rose Bruford College is a higher education institute training students in theatre and the performing arts. As such its library of over 50,000 items is intended primarily to support students on the undergraduate and postgraduate courses taught by the College. The Library is open to members of the public upon request. In addition, the College has a number of Special Collections and Archives. These include material on the theatre practitioner Konstantin Stanislavky, on the scholar and author of Theatre games, Clive Barker, material (written and audiovisual) on the Indian dance practice Kathakali, materials on the playwrights and directors Noel Greig, Philip Osment, Kate Crutchley, John Wood and Pam Schweitzer, material from the influential young people’s theatre company, Theatre Centre, papers from the casting director Corinne Rodriguez, papers and memorabilia from the actress Patsy Byrne, and material donated by and relating to the family of Doreen Oscar (which includes Henry Oscar, Freddie Jones and Toby Jones).
