Become a member

Membership of the Association of Performing Arts Collections (APAC) is open to:

  • Institutions or corporate bodies in the UK and Ireland who acquire, preserve, document and display materials relating to the performing arts.
  • Interested individuals and students.
  • Commercial organisations seeking to join APAC must apply to become APAC Associates.

Membership Benefits and Types

National

National members are part of the APAC network in the UK and Ireland.

National members can:

  • Attend APAC member meetings (approximately 4 a year)
  • Get free attendance to APAC study days, symposia and events
  • Promote collections on APAC’s website, in newsletters and at events
  • Access a community of over 90 members in the UK and Ireland
  • Access e-mail discussion lists for advice and advertising
  • Receive regular e-newsletters with member updates
  • Be eligible for travel grants
  • Be eligible for travel bursaries

International

International members are part of the APAC network in the UK and Ireland and the International Association of Libraries, Museums, Archives and Documentation Centres of the Performing Arts (SIBMAS).

International members can:

  • Attend APAC member meetings (approximately 4 a year)
  • Get free attendance to APAC study days, symposia and events
  • Promote collections on APAC’s website, in newsletters and at events
  • Access a community of over 90 members in the UK and Ireland
  • Access e-mail discussion lists for advice and advertising
  • Receive regular e-newsletters with member updates
  • Be eligible for travel grants
  • Be eligible for travel bursaries
  • Gain discounts to SIBMAS biennial conference
  • Promote collections on the SIBMAS website
  • Receive a copy of SIBMAS conference proceedings
  • Receive quarterly SIBMAS e-newsletter with member updates
  • Access a community of over 200 members in 35 countries

APAC Associate Membership

APAC does not accept National and International membership applications from purely commercial entities.

Commercial organisations joining APAC can apply for APAC Associate status.

APAC Associates must provide:

  • Their annual turnover
  • The nature of their business within the performing arts
  • The purpose behind their decision to apply for APAC Associate status
  • The benefits they hope to obtain from such an association

Membership Fees

National

  • Institution (Greater London): £45
  • Institution (outside Greater London, including Ireland): £40
  • Individual: £25
  • Student: £10

International

  • Institution (Greater London): £80
  • Institution (outside Greater London, including Ireland): £75
  • Individual: £47

All members must adhere to the APAC Code of Conduct
